About Kupeltegi cider house
A genuine cider house serving superb T-bone steaks and chargrilled fish, housed in a stone building more than two hundred years old, where you can help yourself to cider straight from the chestnut kupelas (casks).
In summer, eating in the garden is a delight. The Salazar couple, Jose Miguel in the kitchen and Isabel in the dining room, have created a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere at Kupeltegi.
It has two dining rooms, one seating 75 and a private one with a fireplace for 20. It is in the south of Vitoria-Gasteiz, 3 minutes towards the Mendizorrotza sports centre.
The restaurant is in a farmhouse more than 200 years old, once home to two families from the village.
Its stone walls are more than half a metre thick, and we restored it in 1990 into what it is today.
There is a cider house area for txotx (drinking cider straight from the cask) and another area, a spacious 100 m² dining room, for à la carte dining based on traditional grilled dishes and seasonal food.
