There is one destination that is very much in fashion from late January until May. Many groups of friends from Navarre and the Basque Autonomous Community have this annual date marked in red on the calendar, and have not missed it for years.
Every Saturday more than twenty coaches leave full from Pamplona, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao for this small town of 6,000 inhabitants, which sees its population rise considerably at weekends.
Specifically, last Saturday, 4 March, a total of 4 coaches left from Pamplona, 14 from Bilbao and 7 from Vitoria-Gasteiz. Destination: Astigarraga. Because, once again, the cider houses have become an almost unmissable date.
