Calonge cider house, on Paseo Padre Orkolaga in San Sebastián, has kicked off the txotx season with an exceptional response from customers. Since the end of January, the cider house has seen a marked rise in demand, exceeding even the most optimistic forecasts. Adrián Gorospe, the cider house’s cellar master, says bookings have come in well in advance, with diners booking for March and April since the start of the year.

Both Adrián and Koro Calonge, who runs the cider house, are very pleased with the response from customers, who are showing more enthusiasm than at the same point in 2024. Although weekdays are quiet, at weekends the cider house fills up quickly, reflecting the resounding success of its start to the season.
