After several years of interruptions because of the pandemic, this festive outing has come back stronger than ever. Last Friday morning the participants set off on their route, enjoying stops at the city’s most emblematic bars and cider houses, with cider taking centre stage.

The initiative, which combines tradition with camaraderie, has been a resounding success. Dozens of groups have boarded the bus, showing the interest in reviving a custom that is part of local identity. The cuadrillas (groups of friends) are celebrating not only the good taste of the cider but also getting back together with friends and family after a long period apart.

The organisers stress the importance of keeping these traditions alive, since as well as bringing joy, they also boost the local economy, especially the hospitality sector and cider production. The cuadrillas have expressed their gratitude for the chance to enjoy, once again, such a long-awaited event in the region’s festive calendar.
