This season twelve million litres of cider have been produced, four of which carry the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin, doubling the local harvest of the previous year.

Etxezarreta was the star of a ceremony organised by Sagardoaren Lurraldea, the association that brings together cider makers. It was not the only event held these days, as various towns and cider houses have already fired the starting gun, or will do so in the coming days, on a season that is expected to be a success, with bookings for Saturday lunchtimes soaring.
