At an event held in Mungia, the pop-rock singer fired the starting gun on the cider season, a much-anticipated occasion in the region that marks the start of the cider harvest.

The choice of Izaro as ambassador for this tradition underlines the close relationship between Basque culture and music, as the singer, who comes from the province, represents the values of authenticity and tradition that the txotx symbolises. During the ceremony, Izaro stressed the importance of keeping local customs alive and celebrated the return of the cider season, a time for friends and cuadrillas (groups of friends) to get together again.

The event had a festive atmosphere, and those attending were able to enjoy the first cider tastings, accompanied by traditional Basque cider house dishes. Several local producers also took part, sharing their expectations for a harvest that is expected to be excellent in both quantity and quality.
