The day will begin at 12:00 at Erribera Kulturgunea, where the mayor of Astigarraga, Xabier Urdangarin, together with representatives of the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin, will present the characteristics of the 2024 harvest and the latest news from the sector.

This will be followed by the symbolic planting of an apple tree in the square at Erribera Kulturgunea, symbolising nature’s renewal.

The high point will come at the Alorrenea cider house, where the members of Gure Zirkua will give the traditional cry of “Gure Sagardo Berria” (“Our new cider”), officially opening the 2025 cider house season.

The event is a must for cider lovers, who will be able to taste the new cider and enjoy the cultural traditions surrounding this emblematic drink.
