About the Sidrerias.ws project

An independent website that has been helping people find a cider house and understand the txotx season since 2007.

How it started

Sidrerias.ws was born in 2007 in Donostia, within the team at Factor Ideas. The idea was simple: to bring the cider houses together in one place, with their contact details, their location and what you needed to know before going. Until then that information was scattered and hard to find.

How it has grown

Over the years the directory has kept adding cider houses and the website has changed several times. In 2026 we rebuilt it from scratch. It now has a more complete directory, search by area and by services, news and a calendar. There are also guides, such as the one on txotx or on the cider house menu.

Awards

  • 2008 · Buber Awards (Buber Sariak): most useful website. The Buber Sariak recognise the best Basque websites and are organised by the Internet & Euskadi association.
  • 2009 · 4th Diariovasco.com Awards (Diariovasco.com Sariak): best company website.

What we are (and what we are not)

Sidrerias.ws is an independent project. It is not the website of any association or of any cider house. Having a listing in the directory is free. We try to keep the information up to date, but opening hours, prices and the season are decided by each cider house: check with them before you go.

If you run a cider house, you can sign up in the professionals area and ask us to let you manage your listing.

Something to improve?

If you find a mistake, a cider house is missing or you want to tell us something, write to info@sidrerias.ws or use the contact form.
