Which cookies we use
sidrerias.ws belongs to Factor Ideas Agencia Interactiva, S.L., which is responsible for this website’s first-party cookies (full details are in the Legal notice).
When you arrive, only necessary cookies are set. Analytics cookies are not set until you accept them in the cookie banner, and they stop being used as soon as you withdraw your permission.
In this policy we also use the word “cookies” for what the website stores in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), which the law treats in the same way. We say so in each case.
Necessary
Technical cookies the website needs to work and to remember your cookie choice. They are exempt from consent (art. 22.2 LSSI, Spanish e-commerce law).
Analytics
They tell us, in aggregate, how many people visit each page and how they got there. Matomo is hosted on a Factor Ideas server in the EU; Google Analytics is a Google service that may process data outside the EU, under the safeguards of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Our own cookie-free statistics
Apart from cookies, sidrerias.ws counts its visits itself, without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. When each page opens, the website sends our server the page address, the page you came from, the title, the screen width, how long you look at it, how far you scroll and clicks on phone numbers, email addresses and links to other websites.
To tell which pages make up a single visit, the server calculates a key from your IP address and your browser, mixed with a secret number that changes every day and is deleted at the end of the day. We store neither your IP nor your browser data, only that key, and once the secret has been deleted there is no way, not even for us, of knowing whose it was. Nor do we know who you are even if you have an account, unless you have accepted analytics cookies.
We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing what is read and what is not, and in giving each cider house the figures for visits to its listing, which are always shown to it in aggregate, never visit by visit. We do not use it for advertising, we do not cross-reference it with other websites and we do not give it to anyone. We keep the detailed data for 13 months and then delete it. If you accept analytics cookies, we also store a random identifier
(sidrerias_vid) in your browser that lets us recognise your visits on other
days and, if you have signed in to your account, link them to it. If you
withdraw your consent, we delete it.
How to accept, reject or withdraw your consent
The first time you visit, we show you a banner with three buttons: Accept, Reject and Settings. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and if you reject you can still browse the whole website in the same way.
Your choice is stored for 12 months; after that time, or if we change the
cookies we use, we will ask you again. You can change your mind at any time
using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page or the button
in this policy. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the analytics cookies
and the sidrerias_vid identifier from your browser.
Rejecting cookies does not stop the cookie-free statistics described in the previous section, because they do not store anything in your browser. That is what the “Don’t count my visits” button is for.
What cookies are and what they are for
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device to remember information from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next. Among other things, they are used:
- to make the website work and remember your preferences;
- to measure how many people visit it and which pages they read, in order to improve it;
- and, on other websites, to show personalised advertising or profile the user, something that sidrerias.ws does not do.
Cookies may make it possible to identify a person together with their activity on the website. As soon as a cookie is capable of doing so, the data it collects are personal data, and they are processed in accordance with our Privacy policy.
Types of cookies
By who manages them:
- First-party: sent to your device from a domain managed by the publisher
of the website. Matomo’s cookies are first-party: they are stored on the
sidrerias.ws domain and the data are processed on a Factor Ideas server.
sidrerias_vidandsidrerias_optoutare first-party too. - Third-party: managed by another entity, which processes the data they obtain. Google Analytics cookies are third-party.
By purpose:
- Technical: allow you to browse the website and use its options or services, such as remembering your choice about cookies. They are exempt from consent.
- Preference or personalisation: remember how you want to see the service, such as the language or the number of results.
- Analytics or measurement: make it possible to count the number of users and analyse how the website is used, in order to improve it. They require your consent.
- Behavioural advertising: store information about your browsing habits in order to show you advertising based on your profile. We do not use them.
By how long they last:
- Session: disappear when you close the browser.
- Persistent: remain on your device for a period ranging from a few minutes to several years. Ours last a maximum of 13 months.
Our obligations
We inform you clearly and fully, before setting any cookie that is not technical, so that you have a real choice about their use. Consent must be given through a clear affirmative action: that is why no box is ticked in advance, continuing to browse does not count as accepting, and closing the banner without choosing does not set anything.
We comply with Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI), the GDPR and the “Guía sobre el uso de las cookies” (Guide on the use of cookies) of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD).
Disabling and deleting cookies in your browser
You can also allow, block or delete cookies and the data that websites store on your device in your browser settings. If you block technical cookies, we will show you the banner again on every visit. If you delete the sidrerias.ws data, your “Don’t count my visits” request is deleted too.
Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on all websites.
