Since 2010 it has bottled its cider under the Ipintza brand and the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin; it is a small cider maker that also serves Euskal Sagardoa from other cider houses.
Iretza cider house opened in June 2008 as a tribute to natural cider, the most home-grown drink in the Basque Country and the one with the longest history.

When the cider maker pulls the peg from the kupela and calls out, diners get up from the table, glass in hand, and head for the stream of cider.
Always wait your turn in the queue
Hold the thin glass up to the stream so the cider splashes against it and wakes up the “txinparta”, its natural sparkle. Pour just two or three fingers.
Drink it in one go so you don’t lose the fizz
A juicy salt cod omelette, fried cod with green peppers, a rare chargrilled rib steak from an older cow and, for dessert, Idiazabal cheese with walnuts.
