About Artola cider house
Artola agritourism and cider house was founded in 2001–2002 and is run by siblings Xabi and Edurne.
It stands at the top of the Santiagomendi neighbourhood, right in the heart of cider house country, and enjoys exceptional panoramic views over Hernani, the San Sebastián area (Donostialdea) and the Cantabrian Sea. San Sebastián is 6 km away (10 minutes) and has three beaches.
During the txotx season (when cider is drunk straight from the cask) only the cider house menu is served: T-bone steak (txuleta), salt cod omelette, fried salt cod and dessert (cheese, quince paste and walnuts). Salt cod casseroles in sauce are also made to order.

Artola natural cider is made only with apples from its own orchards; part is served from the kupelas and the rest is sold bottled.
