About Iruin Astiazarán cider house
Although Astiazaran cider house has kept up the cider-making tradition since the 19th century, it only made it its main business in the 1970s. Located in the Zubieta district of San Sebastián, it works as an informal eatery all year round, but in the txotx season it becomes a cider house where you can taste its cider straight from the kupelas (casks). It produces around 180,000 litres a year.

The cider is sold under the family name, Astiazaran, and the family has been making it since 1880.
