About Kuartango Sagardo Naturala

The natural cider of the Kuartango cider house, in Zuhatzu-Kuartango, in western Araba. The house’s product sheet presents it as a product of Álava, under the Arabako Sagardoa brand, and with the Euskal Sagardoa PDO: 100 % native apples.

A 75 cl green bottle at 6.5 % ABV, with the apple-tree label and the red PDO capsule. To buy it away from the cider house, the website points to its distributor’s shop.

Its quality labels

  • DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only local apples from registered orchards in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, not pasteurised and with no added gas. The French Basque Country joins through the cross-border PDO, pending in the EU. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
