About Bilbao Urban Sagardotegi
The Zapiain surname has been linked to making sagardoa (Basque cider) since at least the 16th century, when Basque cider production was at its height. This growth went hand in hand with the development of whaling, considered a pioneering industry in the Basque Country. A gastronomic experience dating back to the 16th century.
