About Larrarte cider house
Founded in 1977, Larrarte cider house stands on Mount Santiagomendi in Astigarraga, an area home to a great many cider houses. Surrounded by apple orchards, the cider house has a classic feel. It currently produces around 80,000 litres of cider a year.
Larrarte makes its own cider with apples from its orchards and from farmhouses in Zaldibia and Astigarraga, and bottles it under the Euskal Sagardoa DO. The bottles are sold at the cider house all year round.

As well as a cider house, it’s a cider maker: it makes its own cider, and what’s served at the table comes from its own cellar.

Quality labels
- DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only apples of local varieties grown in Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and the French Basque Country. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
