About Larre-Gain cider house
Larre-gain has made cider since time immemorial, back when cider was produced for the family’s own consumption. In 1991 they decided to open their doors to the public, converting the old stable into a cider press and later a dining room. Although it began as a sideline to livestock farming, cider soon gained importance and became the only activity. Cider making here is based on its own apples and those of nearby farmhouses. It is a small cider house, making close to 40,000 litres a year.

As well as a cider house, it’s a cider maker: it makes its own cider, and what’s served at the table comes from its own cellar.

Urdaburu organises an outing and cider house lunch for 9 March
Urdaburu Mendizale Elkartea has organised a lunch at the Larregain cider house for 9 March. Participants will meet at Urdaburu’s premises (Juan de Olazabal 23) at 8.30 in the morning, as they will first walk a 14.5-kilometre route with 800 metres of ascent, taking about 5 hours.
