About R. Zabala Euskal Sagardoa

Zabala’s cider with the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin: native apples only, and each batch has passed the DO’s physico-chemical and tasting checks. The label repeats the farmhouse drawing of the classic cider, with a red ribbon.

It is a natural cider with no added gas; it comes in a 75 cl bottle and is served cool, poured from a height.

Its quality labels

  • DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only local apples from registered orchards in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, not pasteurised and with no added gas. The French Basque Country joins through the cross-border PDO, pending in the EU. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
