What it is like

At Begiristain, in Legorreta, the tour covers the production area and the cellars, with a tasting of cider from the bottle and straight from the barrel. Then comes the traditional cider house menu: salt cod omelette, salt cod pil-pil, rib steak and, for dessert, walnuts, Idiazabal cheese and quince paste, with cider flowing throughout the meal.

It costs €67 per adult (€60 for ages 14 to 17 and €35 for ages 4 to 13). There is also a version with transport and a guide, for €83 per adult. It is booked through the visits page of the website or by phone.
