What it is like

The day starts at the Igartubeiti farmhouse cider press, where you can see how cider was made more than five hundred years ago, and continues at Begiristain, in Legorreta: the apple orchard, the cellars, a cider tasting and the same traditional cider house menu as the house’s other visit (salt cod omelette, salt cod pil-pil, rib steak, walnuts, Idiazabal cheese and quince paste).

Adults pay €65, or €62 in groups of fewer than nine people, according to the website; ages 14 to 17 pay €60 and ages 4 to 13, €35. With transport and a guide, €93 per adult.
