What it is like
Aburuza shows its Aduna cider house from start to finish: a walk through the surrounding apple orchards (Aduna claims to be the town in Gipuzkoa with the most apple trees per inhabitant), the family’s history and how its natural cider is made. The tour lasts about an hour, includes a tasting of bottled cider and cider straight from the kupela (cask) with a bite to eat, and ends at the table with the traditional cider house menu; vegetarian and vegan menus are also available.
It runs on Saturdays at 12:30 from January to November, for two people or more, in Basque, Spanish, English or French. It costs €67 per adult (€60 for ages 14 to 17 and €42 for ages 4 to 13). There is also a version with transport from San Sebastián, lasting about four hours, for €83. Payment is made when booking, and cancellation is free up to 72 hours before.
