About Urdaira cider house
Founded in 1990 by its current owner, the Urdaira cider house enjoys an enviable setting with views over its lovely natural surroundings. Although it belongs to Usurbil and lies in the town’s Aginaga district, it is reached from the Igeldo district of San Sebastián. Surrounded by its own apple orchards, it produces around 120,000 litres of cider a year.
Urdaira makes around 120,000 litres of cider a year under the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin (DO), with its own apples and apples from local farmhouses, and also makes cider vinegar.

As well as a cider house, it’s a cider maker: it makes its own cider, and what’s served at the table comes from its own cellar.

- DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only apples of local varieties grown in Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and the French Basque Country. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
