What it is like
An outing that combines rowing and cider. With a cox, the group rows a trainera (a traditional Basque rowing boat) across La Concha Bay or along the Urumea estuary, the old route by which cider was shipped, while hearing about the history of the traineras and of Basque whaling; there is a cider break on board.
Back at Gurutzeta, the cider maker leads a tasting in the cellar to compare the cider from several kupelas (casks), and the day ends with txotx and the cider house menu. The website offers two versions, with the txotx accompanied by a host or without, and gives no price.
