Txotx in the Herriko Plaza from 12:00. Because of building works at the old university, the craft fair moved to the parish cloister. The cheese contest, with some ten Oñati cheesemakers, was won by Aitor Anduaga of Landeta.
About the event
On the Saturday of Herri Eguna, at the start of the Errosaixuak festivities (the first weekend of October), Oñati turns its Herriko Plaza into an open-air cider house: txotx with more than twenty producers from midday, a custom now four decades old. Around it, a fair of crafts and farm produce, livestock, talos, a cheese contest, trikitixa and txistu.
