About Iturrieta cider house
A family farming project. The farmhouse was bought in 1997, and work began straight away on building the cider house in the old cow and sheep stables. An initial 600 apple trees were planted, gradually growing to around 1,200 today, with apple varieties from the Basque Country and a few from Asturias.
Indoor dining room for about 90 people (seated or standing). Enclosed porch for 40 people. Large car park. Swings. Garden area for children. Views of Anboto, Orixol, Aloña, Aitzgorri...

Iturrieta’s own house cider
As well as a cider house, it’s a cider maker: it makes its own cider, and what’s served at the table comes from its own cellar.

Quality labels
- DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only apples of local varieties grown in Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and the French Basque Country. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
- Organic production Cider certified as organic by the body in its territory: Ekolurra, CPAEN, COPAE, CRAEGA or AB in the French Basque Country.
