About El Cuchareru
El Cuchareru is in Nueva de Llanes and describes itself as a combination of gourmet shop, micro-llagar (small cider mill) and cider bar with a restaurant. It started out as a small llagar with a shop and today works mainly as an eatery, although it still makes its own craft cider: the barrels can be seen from the dining room. For those who don’t drink alcohol it also offers homemade apple juice.
The premises, decorated in wood and brick, have a small dining room and a courtyard with outdoor tables. The menu is based on sharing plates of Asturian cooking and local produce, with vegetables from its own kitchen garden and fish from the Llanes fish market; to order, it prepares espichas (traditional cider feasts) for groups of at least ten people.
It opens from 12:00 to 16:00 and from 20:00 to midnight. Bookings are preferably made by phone, and those requested by other means are not confirmed until the restaurant replies.
