About Oiharte Haritz Egurrean Ondua

Natural cider with the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin, made from Goierri apples, mainly errezil, and matured in oak: “Haritz egurrean ondua” (aged in oak), says the label. 75 cl bottle, 6% ABV.

The wood is what sets it apart from the house’s natural cider; Oiharte lists it in its gastronomic range, for the table.

Its quality labels

  • DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only local apples from registered orchards in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, not pasteurised and with no added gas. The French Basque Country joins through the cross-border PDO, pending in the EU. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
