About Barkaiztegi Gorenak

Barkaiztegi’s natural cider with the Gorenak capsule, the quality mark certified by the Hazi Foundation: it identifies quality cider made here, from apples of one origin or another, and requires passing a tasting panel at the Fraisoro laboratory.

It is made by a Donostia family with eight generations of cider makers behind it, using current technology and the traditional way of working. The shop sells it in cases of 3, 6 and 12 bottles.

Its quality labels

  • Gorenak Collective mark of a group of Gipuzkoa cider houses (Sagardo Mahaia), created in 2011, for bottled natural cider only. Every batch is tested at the provincial Fraisoro laboratory. It does not certify where the apples come from. You can tell it by the black capsule.
