What it is like

A shorter version, booked through Sagardoa, the cider house association: it starts in front of the 15th-century family house, you taste Lizeaga’s natural apple juice and then move on to the cellar to taste several ciders straight from the kupela (cask), talking about their aromas and how they are made. Then comes the cider house menu: salt cod omelette, fried salt cod with onion and peppers, T-bone steak, and cheese, quince, walnuts and tejas de Tolosa biscuits.

The tasting lasts about half an hour and the meal about two. It is for groups of at least ten people, all year round from Monday to Saturday at 1.30 pm, in Basque, Spanish, English or French. It costs 51 euros for adults, 47 for young people and 28 for children.
