About Restaurante Llagar Arbesú
Restaurante Llagar Arbesú, also known as Los Jardines de Arbesú, is in Santa Marina, a village in the municipality of Siero. The family story begins in the 1940s, when Aurelio Arbesú started making cider for family and friends; his son Manuel later created the Sidra Arbesú brand, and the five children of Manuel and Leonor moved into hospitality with the restaurant.
Today there are two businesses in the same family: the llagar (cider mill), which makes and distributes Arbesú natural cider and is registered as a certified producer under the Sidra de Asturias PDO (Protected Designation of Origin), and the restaurant, which serves it alongside a menu of traditional, home-style Asturian cooking. The llagar is part of the premises and can be visited, by prior arrangement, to see how the cider is made.
The restaurant opens on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 12:00 to 24:00, with the kitchen open throughout, and has a terrace and gardens. Besides the regular menu, it caters for events with food that mixes the classic and the modern.
