About Astarbe Euskal Sagardoa

Astarbe’s natural cider under the Euskal Sagardoa designation of origin: local apple varieties only, having passed the designation’s lab and tasting checks. Two varieties grown at Astarbe for centuries stand out in the house, Astarbe and Mendiola.

It is the bottle for taking Astigarraga cider home with a guaranteed origin. Serve it cool, in a wide glass.

Its quality labels

  • DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only local apples from registered orchards in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, not pasteurised and with no added gas. The French Basque Country joins through the cross-border PDO, pending in the EU. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
