About Etxerriaga Sagardoa

Etxerriaga makes a single cider, with no categories, from the old apple trees of the Boroa district of Amorebieta-Etxano: errezil, txakala, boskantoi, urtebi, moko, gezamina and other local varieties the family is recovering. The apples are hand-picked from the tree, cold-pressed (about two kilos per bottle) and fermented in stainless steel with the cellar’s own yeasts, with nothing added; it then goes through malolactic fermentation, which is unusual in cider.

It is bottled unfiltered, in a 75 cl green bottle with a cork. Its shop sells it in boxes of 3, 6 and 12 bottles.
