About Gartziategi 700

Gartziategi 700 is a limited edition from the house, as its black label with a large “700” says. Inside is natural cider with the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin, made from native apples.

The shop does not explain the name or what sets it apart from the usual DO cider; it is a short run, to taste alongside the house’s natural cider.

Its quality labels

  • DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only local apples from registered orchards in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, not pasteurised and with no added gas. The French Basque Country joins through the cross-border PDO, pending in the EU. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
