About Gurutzeta Euskal Sagardoa

Gurutzeta’s Euskal Sagardoa carries the Designation of Origin seal: a base of native varieties and a traditional cider with body. The house suggests it for the table, with fish and meat, and above all with txuleta (rib steak). 75 cl bottle, 6% ABV.

It is sold in boxes of six or twelve bottles on the cider house’s website.

Its quality labels

  • DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only local apples from registered orchards in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, not pasteurised and with no added gas. The French Basque Country joins through the cross-border PDO, pending in the EU. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
