About Zapiain Euskal Sagardoa Premium

Within the Euskal Sagardoa Designation of Origin, only the batches that score highest in the tasting get the gold capsule and the Premium label. This is Zapiain’s: local apples and a stricter selection than for its everyday DO cider.

It is sold in 75 cl bottles, in cases of 6 or 12. The house bottle for a special meal.

Its quality labels

  • DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only local apples from registered orchards in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, not pasteurised and with no added gas. The French Basque Country joins through the cross-border PDO, pending in the EU. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
