About Bereziartua cider house
Bereziartua cider house was founded before 1870 and is now in the hands of the fourth or fifth generation. Bereziartua has always been a well-known name, first in Ergobia and now in Astigarraga and the surrounding area. Thanks to its reputation and its good work over so many years, it was a pioneer in obtaining ISO 9001 quality certification. Bereziartua’s cider carries the Eusko Label quality certificate.
Specialities
You’ll find both wooden and stainless steel kupelas (casks).
Bereziartua has been making cider since 1870, first in Ergobia and since 1970 in Astigarraga. It produces natural cider, Euskal Sagardoa with Designation of Origin and organic cider, as well as apple juice and cider vinegar, and sells them in its online shop. It offers guided tours with a tasting.

Quality labels
- DO Euskal Sagardoa Designation of origin for natural Basque cider: only apples of local varieties grown in Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and the French Basque Country. The seal goes on each bottle, not on the cider maker.
- Organic production Cider certified as organic by the body in its territory: Ekolurra, CPAEN, COPAE, CRAEGA or AB in the French Basque Country.
